Akkodis Group Nordics is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX / Houston, TX. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining microservices using Java and Spring Boot on AWS, along with collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration for scalable, event‑driven applications
Build and optimize RESTful APIs and Kafka‑based messaging workflows to support high‑throughput, real‑time data processing
Deploy, monitor, and enhance applications on AWS using services such as ECS, S3, SNS, API Gateway, IAM, Postgres, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and support end‑to‑end SDLC activities
Implement CI/CD processes using Git, Bitbucket, and automated build pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable software delivery
Troubleshoot production issues, improve application performance, and ensure best practices in cloud security, code quality, and Agile development

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
8–10 years of experience in backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
Strong client‑required expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka for building scalable REST and integration services
Proven hands‑on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS using services such as ECS, API Gateway, S3, SNS, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and Postgres
