Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines using ETL/ELT methodologies
Build and operate cloud-based data pipelines in AWS or Azure environments
Perform data transformations, validation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability
Automate data workflows and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Develop and maintain data integration processes supporting batch and near-real-time data flows
Implement and optimize distributed data processing solutions
Ensure data pipelines adhere to security, performance, and compliance requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and integration issues
Collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to support data integration requirements
Document data pipelines, workflows, and technical processes in accordance with Federal standards
Qualification
Required
Four (4) years of hands-on experience in data engineering
Four (4) years of experience building and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines in AWS or Azure
Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines
Experience performing data transformations and data quality checks
Experience automating data flows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
Experience working with a distributed data processing framework such as Apache Spark
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; five (5) years of experience providing IT services to DoW may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
Preferred
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience supporting Federal or DoW data environments
Familiarity with cloud-native data integration and orchestration tools
