Vintage Recruits is hiring Full-Stack Product Developers to help build and scale one of the largest digital board game platforms on the internet. The role involves evolving game architecture, designing multi-platform systems, and owning end-to-end full-stack development while ensuring performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

Evolve and improve game architecture to ensure clean code boundaries and long-term scalability
Design multi-platform systems that deliver consistent features and seamless player experiences
Scale the codebase to support multiple game titles while maintaining performance and developer velocity
Own end-to-end full-stack development, from backend logic to polished, high-performance UI
Balance technical complexity with product impact, prioritising work that delivers the greatest value to players
Review pull requests and mentor peers to uphold strong engineering standards and maintainable architecture
Collaborate cross-functionally to transform ideas into engaging, intuitive game experiences
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure smooth gameplay under heavy traffic
Improve tools, workflows, and CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, more reliable iteration

Required

Experience in modern full-stack development
Deep expertise in Node.js and backend system design
Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and CSS, with experience building high-performance, polished UIs
Proven ability to design, scale, and maintain robust architectures
Solid understanding of game systems and design patterns, with a focus on stability and player experience
Hands-on experience with relational databases and REST APIs
Strong command of Git, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows
Excellent written communication skills—comfortable explaining complex ideas in an async environment
Genuine passion for board games, both as a player and developer
