Senior Quality Engineer (Onsite)

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support their Waste Water products for commercial and business jet platforms within the Interiors business in Everett, WA. In this role, you will serve as a quality leader, ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer outcomes while partnering with cross-functional teams and managing impactful projects.

Responsibilities

Lead and support Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
Develop, apply, and continuously improve quality systems, controls, and documentation to meet internal, customer, and regulatory requirements
Analyze quality data to drive Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction and prevent customer escapes
Manage escape investigations, coordinating cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformances and implement sustainable solutions
Partner with operations, inspection, engineering, and program teams to ensure product conformance and effective change implementation
Support PMT and customer meetings, maintaining strong customer relationships and contributing to quality scorecard performance
Apply PPAP core tools (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, Control Plans) to identify and mitigate product and process risk
Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
Evaluate and support engineering change orders and new inspection methods or technologies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or Advanced degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred

Experience with MRB and structured root cause analysis highly preferred
Six Sigma / Lean process improvement experience (Green Belt preferred)
Working knowledge of AS9100
Experience with SAP
Experience interfacing directly with customers
Knowledge of measurement equipment and techniques (e.g., FARO, calipers, pin gauges)
Experience in Aerospace ideal, but not required
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
