Responsibilities
Supervise staff, prioritize and assign work, conduct performance evaluations, ensure staff are trained and follow policies and procedures, maintain a healthy and safe working environment, make hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations
Perform counseling for Tribal members, evaluates needs of the consumer, writes treatment plans and provides referrals; may provide urgent-care, crisis intervention counseling or home visits to assess consumer progress
Provide therapy for consumers with multiple diagnoses
Perform case management activities such as consulting with other departments and agencies to coordinate care for patients, make recommendations for outside treatment, and participate in staff meetings to determine best treatment for patients
In conjunction with the Associate Director, monitor the departmental budget, which may include grant funding and oversight, allocate resources, and approve expenditures
Prepare and/or review complex reports, productivity statistics, and studies, make recommendations on a wide variety of administrative and clinical practices
Perform comprehensive assessments of clients; determine level of care and diagnosis, coordinate client eligibility for outside benefit assistance, and orient clients to new programs
Assist the Department Director and on-site Associate Director in developing and implementing department policies and procedures, and ensure accreditations and licensure of clinics are within established standards
Provide crisis case management to individuals
Work with dual diagnoses, serious mental illness, and general mental health concerns
Record all clinical contacts and completes all appropriate Arizona State enrollment forms, treatment plans, updates, and closures
Enter and maintain clinical information and clinical notes into an electronic charting system in accordance with the Centered Spirit Employee Handbook
Attend meetings, staffing and community events as a representative of the department; report on activities and provides educational information about clinical services
Attend trainings to update licensure and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Participate on the Treatment Team Review Meetings (TTR) and as a member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team and TMDR or, if applicable, the Arizona State Behavioral Health Committees for Prevention, SMI, or Children Services
Participate in community events and prevention activities as required by director
Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as requested by supervisor or director
Qualification
Required
Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health, or related field
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
Six (6) years of experience as a licensed Therapist
Two (2) years of supervisory or senior clinician experience
Current License as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist
CPR and First Aid Certifications
Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License
Current Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card
Willingness to work non-traditional hours, nights, and weekends
Preferred
Licensed Psychologist
Four (4) years of professional counseling experience in a mental health setting
Two (2) years of management or team lead experience
Clinical Supervisory Certification
Bilingual in English/Spanish
Experience in a Wraparound therapy model
Experience working with Native American populations
