Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, cost and schedule estimates to ensure timely delivery of project goals and objectives
Provide leadership and coordination with project managers, engineers, and contractors to identify and resolve cost or schedule issues
Lead a team of cost engineers and planners to optimize project cost and timelines
Coordinate with Project Controls teams on each EPCm to gather schedule and cost data, perform analysis, identifying trends for improved project efficiency
Support project risk management by identifying cost and schedule-related risks, performing cost-benefit analyses and mitigating project risks
Develop and prepare all Project Controls procedures and reporting tools for the project
Prepare and present project status reports, variation analyses and weekly/bi-weekly/ monthly report processes and meetings across all EPCms for management and other stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related experience
Minimum of 15 years of experience in Project Controls on large scale capital projects
Certifications such as PMP or CCP
Proven work experience as a Project Controls Specialist with excellent knowledge of project management techniques and tools
Proficiency with PM software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Strong analytical skills
Proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and lead across functional and project departments
Preferred
Mining industry experience preferred
