Program Director for Electrician Technician
North-West College is overseeing the Electrician Technician training program, ensuring high-quality instruction and regulatory compliance. The Program Director manages faculty, maintains curriculum standards, and supports the overall success and growth of the program.

Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of the Electrician Technician program, including scheduling and program planning
Ensure compliance with institutional policies, state licensing requirements, and accreditation standards
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate instructional staff
Maintain and update curriculum, labs, tools, and electrical training equipment
Support student retention, completion, and job-readiness initiatives
Collaborate with Career Services to strengthen employer partnerships and placement opportunities
Manage program budgets, inventory, and safety protocols
Coordinate advisory board meetings and integrate industry feedback
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience in the electrical field, including installation, maintenance, or industrial/commercial systems
Strong knowledge of NEC codes, safety standards, and industry best practices
Leadership or supervisory experience in education, training, or technical environments
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Journeyman or Master Electrician license
Teaching experience
Related degree/certifications
