Responsibilities
Assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems for transmission projects, utilizing tools such as PSLF, ASPEN, and PSCAD
Collaborate with teams to create comprehensive study plans, conduct them, and follow-through with client deliverables
Utilize programming skills in Python, VBA, and EPCL for data analysis and automation tasks
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues
Prepare detailed and well-organized reports and documentation, ensuring clear communication and understanding with clients
Prepare technically-heavy, and detail-consistent generator and load interconnection applications
Communicate issues and project progression effectively and willingly with team leaders
Manage several active projects simultaneously
Maintain a courteous and helpful working relationship with clients
Using experience, contribute meaningfully to everyday processes and client relations
Review deliverables for quality assurance
Assist in training new hires and junior engineers (once established)
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required for this position
A strong understanding of power systems and modeling software is required
Prior related job experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided for unfamiliar software and internal processes
The candidate must be proficient in Excel
The candidate must have excellent writing skills
Preferred
EIT or PE is recommended, but not required
Previous work with renewable energy and/or data center developers
Experience with PSLF, PSSE, or Powerworld
Experience with PSCAD
Experience with ASPEN Line Constants & Oneliner
Experience with TSAT
Experience with TARA/PowerGEM
Experience with Python, VBA, EPCL
Experience with Google Earth, ArcMap/QGIS
Experience with distribution systems
Experience with protection systems
Experience with substation design
Experience with single-line diagram drafting
