CONFERENCE PLANNING SPECIALIST
USAJOBS is seeking a Conference Planning Specialist as part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The role involves planning, organizing, and executing large conferences and events, while managing daily operations of the command's primary conference center.

Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and execute large conferences, workshops, seminars and other events
Manages and oversees the daily operations of the command's primary conference center
Serves as the Operations and Plans Directorate alternate facilities coordinator
Manages the execution of conferences to ensure quality of the presentations, agenda, and reliability of the physical aspects of events
Ensures sufficient support personnel are available, including coordination of security, audio/visual aids and equipment, logistics, space arrangements and administrative requirements
Develops and publishes conference and event agendas

Required
Must be a U.S. citizen
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service

This position is designated by the Air Force as a Test Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program
Travel and relocation expenses, if approved, will be paid IAW JTR and AFMAN 36-606
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service
Planning, organizing, and executing large conferences, workshops, and seminars
Ensures quality of the presentations, agenda, and reliability of the physical aspects of events including reviewing speaker's presentation, reports, and handouts to ensure information adequately address the topics and meets conference intent
Coordinates security, ensures set-up of audio/visual aids and equipment, logistics, space arrangements, and administrative requirements
Provides training for the use of Defense Transportation Systems such as: SMS, TRANSVIZ, GTN, Logbook, and JOPES
