Responsibilities
Deliver technical training on essential topics, including virtualization, network creation, databases, authentication services, and related technologies
Instruct students on foundational and advanced computer networking concepts such as routing, switching, subnets, and network security methodologies
Facilitate student engagement through effective instruction and classroom management
Organize rosters, track student progress, and prepare detailed progress reports
Evaluate student assessments and provide constructive feedback
Collaborate with senior instructors, engineers, and course developers to align training material with DoD cyber readiness objectives and platform performance needs
Maintain currency on course materials and emerging technologies
Provide technical troubleshooting and support to students, peers, and developers, helping resolve issues with complex network and platform configurations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as information technology, computer science, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university or 6+ years of equivalent experience can be substituted for a degree
8 years of relevant experience in technical instruction, with an emphasis on computer networking and cybersecurity
CISSP or other DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification
Strong understanding of computer networking principles, including TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, firewalls, and LAN/WAN configurations
Familiarity with IT operations, VMware vSphere or NSX, Microsoft Active Directory, Linux, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Puppet or Ansible, and networking technologies
Proven ability to develop and deliver technical training programs
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Knowledge of or experience with PCTE
DevOps experience
Troubleshooting capabilities with both common issues and platform errors
