Solar Field Technician (O&M)

They are seeking a Sr. Solar O&M Technician to lead field operations and asset maintenance across the Rochester, NY area, ensuring maximum system uptime and performance through expert-level electrical work and site inspections.
Responsibilities
Lead field operations and asset maintenance across the Rochester, NY area
Responsible for the troubleshooting, diagnostic testing, and preventative maintenance of community solar arrays
Ensure maximum system uptime and performance through expert-level electrical work and site inspections
Serve as a vital technical resource for the company that prioritizes the long-term reliability of its solar fleet
Qualification
Required
3+ yrs of O&M experience with Community solar projects or 5+years of deep solar installation experience or A valid Master Electrician or Journeyman's license
A proven track record of diagnosing and repairing complex issues within solar inverter systems and monitoring hardware
The ability to work independently in the field while maintaining clear communication with remote asset management teams
A clean driving record and the ability to operate a company-provided service vehicle throughout the Rochester region
Extensive technical knowledge of medium and high-voltage electrical systems as they relate to solar infrastructure
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform detailed site audits and performance reporting
A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professional conduct at all times
