Responsibilities

Provide routine and as needed clinical engineering services (repair, maintenance, relocation, installation, etc.) for equipment
Maintain documentation of equipment, inventory, service and repairs
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment

Required

High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining medical equipment or equipment in a mechanical or electrical technician field OR Associate's Degree in Biomechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology OR equivalent specialized or military training
Ability to float to other CCF locations in the eastern region
Provide routine and as needed clinical engineering services (repair, maintenance, relocation, installation, etc.) for equipment
Maintain documentation of equipment, inventory, service and repairs
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment
Physical demands include ability to lift up to 75 pounds; to climb 8-foot ladders and work on overhead equipment
Ability to work in prone positions and in confined, darkened areas
Manual dexterity to use tools and work on small mechanical parts
Visual acuity sufficient to distinguish colors used for wire color coding and read finely printed blueprints and schematics
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required

Preferred

Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) or Biomedical Engineering Technologist (BMET)
Associate's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering Technology
IT or networking experience, troubleshooting skills, teamwork, customer service, independence, and a thirst for knowledge
