Engineering Intern
PBC Linear is seeking several enthusiastic Manufacturing, Product or Electrical Engineering Interns to join their team. This role offers students or recent graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing and product engineering processes while working closely with the engineering team.
Manufacturing
Responsibilities
Learn about internal manufacturing and business processes and showcase comprehension through completion of a project. (Level 1)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Production, Quality Management and Manufacturing Engineering to modify and develop innovative product/process solutions. (Level 2)
Assist in the design and build of manufacturing processes, including creating CAD models, prototyping, part process flow and conducting quality studies
Support product testing and validation activities, including developing test plans, performing calculations, conducting tests, and analyzing results. (Level 2)
Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to product/process flow and manufacturing processes
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve product performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
Document and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to product engineering and incorporate them into our product development processes
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Strong academic background with coursework in engineering fundamentals, manufacturing processes
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Hands-on learner with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred
Hands-on experience with prototyping tools and equipment (e.g., 3D printers, CNC machines)
