Responsibilities
Collection and data entry of detailed clinical information obtained from medical records in accordance with established guidelines
Ensures data quality and consistency
Provides primary support to Clinical Abstractors
Participates in registry abstraction planning, procedures and methodologies in support of reporting clinical outcomes
Assists with ensuring compliance of all requirements of assigned registries
Submits data to approved national and state registries
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
1 year of experience in a healthcare support position working with medical records and computers required
Preferred
Database management and data abstraction experience preferred
