They are seeking a Summer Intern - Direct/Networked V2X to contribute to research and development projects on Direct/Networked V2X, including the design and development of testbeds and vehicle proof of concept experiments.

Responsibilities

Contribute to Direct/Networked V2X projects: Design and implement vehicle to network communication architectures leveraging communication infrastructure and cloud/MEC platforms

Integrate V2X communication methods (e.g., C-V2X, cellular connectivity) for automotive safety and traffic efficiency applications

Create publications, invention disclosures and patents, and contribute to research reports, and whitepapers

Contribute to field experiments using prototype vehicles

Analyze the network and vehicle connectivity with hardware (OBU, network analyzer) and software setup (Wireshark and other network measurement tools)

Data analysis and visualization from communication devices and vehicle sensors to monitor, predict and improve network performance for connected vehicles

Required

Master or Ph.D. candidate in Electrical engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunication

Good understanding of cellular communication technologies such as LTE and 5G and vehicular communication technologies such as C-V2X

Experience with wireless communications, particularly for automotive use cases

Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP protocols, MQTT…) and analysis tools (Wireshark)

Familiarity with AI/ML, programming (Python, C/C++, ROS) debugging and troubleshooting in Linux based hardware & software environments

Preferred

Knowledge about applications of vehicular communication for safety, traffic efficiency and ADAS
