Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end origination, evaluation, and execution of AppDirect Capital investment and acquisition opportunities, with a primary focus on Energy
Source and proactively develop proprietary deal flow aligned to AppDirect Capital’s strategy
Own deal diligence and execution, including financial modeling, valuation, investment memos, and transaction support through signing and close
Partner closely with Strategic Finance, Legal, and People to structure, negotiate, and close transactions efficiently and rigorously
Design and help launch an AppDirect Capital program for AppDirect Energy, including market mapping, product structure, and operating model
Represent AppDirect Capital at industry events, conferences, and onsite meetings with current and prospective partners
Report directly to the Head of Corporate Development
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, venture, or structured finance, ideally with exposure to energy, infrastructure, or services-enabled financing
Demonstrated ability to independently run deals from sourcing through close in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment
Strong financial modeling, valuation
Proven experience collaborating with finance, legal, HR/People, and executive stakeholders on complex transactions
High ownership mindset with the ability to operate ambiguously and autonomously while maintaining high execution standards
Clear, concise communicator with experience preparing investment materials for senior leadership and boards
Willingness to travel as needed for industry events and onsite diligence
