Responsibilities

Maintains proficiency in database programming and serves as primary support and development for operational resources
Develops reporting for operational systems and polls/interprets data from the systems as requested by the leadership team
Designs system output to support internal processes through software development skills
Proactively seeks out opportunities to maintain and enhance skills as technology and software development tools evolve
Shows proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server administration, Microsoft Visual Studio, data interchange theory and practice and data security concepts
Investigates and recommends tools for data manipulation and analysis which support the MTN mission
Supports internal processes through continuous delivery and improvement of tools designed to enhance efficiency
Maintains and develops database technologies as necessary to ensure integrity of historical information and updated processes for storing and retrieving data
Supports update and configuration changes as needed for maintenance, installation and design
Applies statistical techniques including but not limited to probability, regression, and linear algebra to analyze data and draw meaningful insights and conduct hypothesis testing and A/B testing to support decision-making
Maintains strong working knowledge of SAS and other applicable statistical software packages as required
Performs statistical analysis of information from MTN databases or as requested for MTN internal process improvements
Works closely with the leadership team to complete research projects
Supports data requests which support MTN relationships with external partners
Gathers and preprocess large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and applying necessary cleaning and transformations to prepare data for analysis
Performs exploratory data analysis to understand data patterns and relationships and visualizes data to identify trends and anomalies
Analyzes large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights, applying advanced analytics, supervised / unsupervised learning, neural networks, and frameworks to generate information that informs business strategies
Develops and implements predictive models using machine learning and AI algorithms and validates and refines models to ensure their accuracy and reliability
Interprets data findings and translates them into actionable business insights, creating reports and dashboards to effectively communicate results to stakeholders
Works closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define predictive modeling and AI project goals, establish KPIs, and translates business needs into actionable analytical solutions
Stays current with advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, continuously enhancing models and processes using new data and feedback
Performs regular testing and debugging of modeling systems to resolve model drift and technical issues and identifies opportunities to leverage modeling and AI technology to improve business processes
Ensures data privacy and security standards are maintained and adheres to ethical guidelines in data handling and analysis
Maintains proficiency in tools like Python, R, SAS Viya, Apache (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), Java, Julia, Scala, MATLAB, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Keras, Microsoft Azure Machine Learning, Amazon SageMaker, and Alteryx

Required

Bachelor's degree in mathematics or statistics and three or more years of computer science/programming experience required
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
Excellent analytical and organizational skills required
Possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to monitor work for accuracy and thoroughness while demonstrating perseverance, change agility, and a relentless drive to find answers despite setbacks
Demonstrated commitment to understanding and anticipating client needs by engaging in an iterative discovery process to ensure effective serve delivery
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning with a growth mindset
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking skills
Must maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with MTN motor vehicle policy
Must have reliable transportation to be used with company reimbursement using IRS guidelines
Must be able to travel within the service area by ground or air
Ability to lift 15 pounds and transfer short distances
Possess ability to operate telephones, computers and office equipment
Ability to speak and communicate clearly in order to accurately convey information in person or by phone
OSHA Category III – No exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing assigned job duties
Home internet and wireless phone access is required
