Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities

Assists Project Manager with coordination, planning, and execution of electrical construction projects
Manages project billing processes, budgeting, timelines, and progress
Processes time and material vouchers and tracks project-related costs
Prepares Method of Procedures (MOPs) to support clear execution guidelines
Monitors project progress against milestones and proactively addresses issues
Reviews purchase orders, submittals, and contracts while maintaining the change order log
Coordinates with internal teams to share project updates and ensure alignment
Conducts project meetings to review progress and resolve concerns
Contributes to the evaluation and improvement of project workflows and processes
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent experience
Four (4) years of experience in the electrical contracting industry, focused on project support
Knowledge of construction processes, electrical systems, and project documentation
Knowledge of codes, regulations, and safety standards in commercial construction
Skill in time management, coordination, and documentation
Skill in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Viewpoint, Cosential, or McCormick preferred
Ability to support multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors
Ability to take initiative and contribute to continuous improvement

Preferred

Experience with large commercial construction projects
Background in electrical estimating and cost tracking
Certifications such as PMP or similar are advantageous
