Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with all levels of customers including administrators, staff, students, and vendors
Install and support new devices along with accompanying software (e.g., computers, tablets, projectors, document cameras)
Coordinate the repair of student and teacher laptop computers, including performing diagnostic repair procedures
Install and configure supported device operating systems
Perform routine diagnostics and maintenance with multiple operating systems
Install and configure applications and other supported software packages
Test new releases for supported systems
Perform network support and troubleshooting duties
Provide consultation and/or training to teachers, staff, and students on the operation of technology equipment and software packages
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Assist teachers with resolving device-related problems
Integrate knowledge and skills from a range of technologies to address work assignments and problems of moderate complexity
Coordinate with vendors when necessary
Participate as a team member on small and/or large projects
Record activities in the work order system
Update/Create internal supported system documentation

Qualification

Required

Associate Degree in a related technology area
Minimum of three (3) years of experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintaining device software
Knowledge of Windows and Apple hardware and software platforms
Ability to perform technical tasks with minimal supervision
Must be able to follow oral and written directions
Any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered

Preferred

Certifications such as CompTIA, A+ certification, HP Certification, or other hardware vendor-specific certifications
