Senior Site Engineer
Unilever is a global consumer goods company, and they are seeking a Senior Site Engineer to provide technical support and manage engineering projects at their Jefferson City operation. Responsibilities
Direct and advance the engineering teams in developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving processes, equipment, and technologies for projects in processing, packaging, and other site-supporting projects. Provide real-time guidance for quick decision-making
Offer engineering guidance in analyzing production processes and equipment from a first principles approach for optimally implementing continuous and innovative improvement projects. Foster semi-autonomous teams, teach new tools and methodologies, and ensure team alignment
Take responsibility for team performance and share best practices for site improvements
Apply Unilever Manufacturing Standards (UMS) methods and tools to identify root causes, define countermeasures, and validate effectiveness for process design and implementation
Utilize UMS methods for Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Planned Maintenance (PM), Focused Improvement (FI), and Quality Control (QC) to prioritize and reduce waste in project development and implementation
Ensure on-time, in-full delivery of capital projects, prioritizing safety, quality, productivity goals, and high equipment reliability by drawing resources from various organizational levels
Oversee that engineering projects follow Unilever Engineering Standards, ensuring proper installation, commissioning, and training. Develop project plans, budgets, and cost/benefit analyses for new processes and/or equipment. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure flawless project implementation
Ensure optimal resourcing and equipment use through technical knowledge and a systems approach
Promote value engineering and new ways of working while upholding core values
Support the development of both engineering and maintenance strategies to strengthen team development, knowledge, and performance. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices for production efficiency and cost reduction
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, procurement, quality, safety, maintenance, and finance, to develop and execute cost reduction strategies
Prepare regular reports, presentations, and analyses to communicate end-to-end project workflow, ongoing initiatives, CapEx and FAR2 reporting, update asset registers and associated reports, and future opportunities to senior management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
5+ years of experience of Electrical & Controls Engineering within a CPG/FMCG environment
1+ years of operating in a leadership capacity
Experience working with High/Medium/Low voltage Power Distribution/Switchgear design & maintenance
Experience in factory utilities & infrastructure – boilers, air compressors, HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, water filtration & reverse osmosis systems
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and coordinate several moderate level projects simultaneously with multi-discipline trades
Effective problem solver and communicator with the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
Significant Project Management experience

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Autonomous, results driven and accountable for own actions and takes ownership of decisions
US/International Travel 10%
