International Human Resources Program Manager

Responsibilities

Act as a subject matter expert in international HR to coordinate internal teams such as HRBP, Legal, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Compliance and HR communities of excellence/expertise (COE) to support international employees
With minimal direction from leadership, exercise considerable judgement to make decisions in HR support for international employees’ in Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Taiwan, Italy and other countries Alaska Airlines serves
Support and advise on HR policies and procedures that comply with local labor laws and align with the company's global HR strategy
Address employee concerns and provide guidance on conflict resolution in coordination with Employee Relations, Legal, and HR Business Partners
Partner with Talent Acquisition to complete the recruitment process for international positions, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding
Partner closely with divisional HRBP to handoff support of performance management process, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback
Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs for employees across different regions
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, including work permits and visas
Assist in the development and administration of compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and compliant with local standards
Maintain HR records and prepare reports on HR metrics, such as turnover rates, recruitment metrics, and employee satisfaction
Identify, secure and manage third-party vendor relationships to ensure proper administration of international HR operations

Required

4 years of experience in international human resources, law or related area
Bachelor's degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree
Strong knowledge of international labor laws and HR best practices
Experience in HR compliance, employee relations and/or human resources business partnering
Travel 20% of time, as required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum age of 18
Must be authorized to work in the U.S
