Amazon is launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide broadband connectivity to underserved communities. They are seeking a Program Manager to manage the delivery of satellite communication services to government customers, focusing on State and Local Government and Education programs.

Responsibilities

Drive project execution, develop project plans, make technical trade-offs, manage risks, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues
Act as the point of contact for Amazon Leo for Government with external teams, partners, and subcontractors for assigned solutions, to identify and mitigate programmatic risks in order to meet established goals
Communicate clearly and effectively to executive management on the plans, status, and critical issues in narrative and verbal formats. Escalate urgent issues appropriately and drive them to closure in a timely manner
Unblock issues by pulling together the multi-functional technical expertise to resolve issues
Develop, track, and communicate project schedules and achievements
Work closely with partner organizations (including government agencies) to develop work packages and ensure that all teams have what they need to be successful
Establish goals and metrics to identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions to meet cost, performance and schedule requirements

Required

3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Export Control - This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed

Preferred

3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
