Program Specialist 2 - Access Services

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential student and program records in compliance with applicable laws, institutional policies, and established procedures
Maintain routine written and verbal correspondence with students, faculty, staff, and accommodation service providers in support of Access Services operations
Conduct student intake appointments, collect required documentation, and record information in accordance with establish guideline and procedures
Provide procedural information to students regarding Access Services processes, approved accommodations, and required next steps; refer complex or sensitive issues to appropriate professional staff
Support routine program operations and communicate relevant observations, trends, or operational issues to supervisory staff as requested
Provide general information and assistance to students, faculty, and staff regarding Access Services policies, procedures, and available services
Coordinate ordering, tracking, and distribution of program supplies
Provide front desk coverage, assist and support student staff, and support day-to-day front desk operations

Required

Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university
2 years of experience supporting office operations in a professional office or education setting OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Proficient use of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and OneNote)
Experience providing customer-centered services to diverse and under-represented populations, including individuals with disabilities, in a higher education or comparable setting
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency with computers and standard office software, including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing applications
Working knowledge of applicable accessibility laws and regulations in higher education, including the ADA and Section 504
Working knowledge of disability models, universal design principles, and accessibility best practices
Ability to work effectively and respectfully with diverse populations, including students with disabilities
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to support shared departmental and college goals
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgment within established guidelines and procedures
Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and departmental records
Ability to maintain a positive, collegial work environment and work effectively in stressful or sensitive situations
Willingness and ability to learn assistive technology, alternate media formats, and accessibility-related software
Ability to represent the college professionally in interactions with students, faculty, staff, and the public

Preferred

Experience conducting student intake appointments or participating in intake-related processes in a student services or support environment
Experience working in a disability student support, access services, or similar office
Experience with electronic student record systems, case management systems, or accommodation management platforms (e.g., AIM, ctcLink, TracCloud, or comparable systems)
