Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support electromechanical systems and subsystems including motors, sensors, actuators, motion systems, and control components
Create, review, and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs and equipment modifications
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in manufacturing, lab, and cleanroom settings
Support production equipment used in inspection and process operations
Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, quality, and operations teams to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and performance
Participate in structured root cause analysis and corrective action activities such as 5 Whys
Develop and execute test plans for electromechanical systems
Create and maintain technical documentation including specifications, work instructions, and test reports
Contribute to engineering change and controlled documentation processes
Ensure systems comply with internal safety requirements and applicable regulatory standards
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional problem-solving
Operate with a teamwork-oriented, teacher-first mindset that supports knowledge-sharing and mentoring

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field
Three to six years of experience designing, supporting, or troubleshooting electromechanical systems in manufacturing, equipment, or lab environments
Experience with LabVIEW, SolidWorks, and general PCB design
Experience working within a quality management system and using quality tools such as 5 Whys
Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical systems
Understanding of system integration, testing methods, and reliability engineering
Familiarity with equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, environmental chambers, power supplies, and programmable boards like Arduino
Strong written and verbal communication skills and thorough documentation habits
Detail-oriented with a focus on reliability, safety, and repeatability
Ability to work independently with sound decision-making while incorporating team perspectives
Proven success working collaboratively and professionally with teams; able to contribute without ego
Adaptable and capable of maintaining effectiveness during rapid project changes or production transitions
