Senior Software Engineer
Toyota North America is a leader in mobility solutions and is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Toyota Financial Services team. The role involves collaborating with Agile teams to design, develop, and support technical solutions while leveraging expertise in software engineering to drive innovation and deliver impactful business outcomes.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in backend and middleware
Design and deliver solutions that leverage RDBMS, Container Orchestration services including Docker, Kubernetes, ECS and a variety of AWS tools and services
Utilize programming languages like Java, Springboot and SQL
Collaborate with product owners, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help customers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
6+ years of experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot and overall backend experience
Intermediate to advanced programming skills Springboot, Spring Cloud and related Spring ecosystem to design, develop and maintain microservices on AWS cloud platform
Experience creating reusable enterprise application frameworks and libraries to scale and improve adoption of standards by product teams
Skilled at delivering high-quality, clean, and reusable code using Test-Driven Development (TDD), object-oriented design, and 12-factor app principles
Strong proficiency in developing scalable and resilient microservices
Experience with asynchronous communication patterns and brokers like Kafka
Skilled at troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues quickly and efficiently
Experience in containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and ECS
Proficiency in setting up Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, incorporating automated testing, code quality checks, and deployment strategies
Experience building observable systems to track the performance of distributed services, trace issues, and troubleshoot failures
Experience developing software using System Design principles
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with product managers, architects and other engineers to define technical requirements
Preferred
Proficiency and hands-on experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform and/or OpenTofu
Proficiency in customization of CI/CD workflows and managing multiple environments
