This role involves providing technical engineering expertise for plant systems to ensure safe and efficient operations at their nuclear power facility.

Responsibilities
Provide engineering support for nuclear plant systems, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and implementation of corrective actions
Evaluate plant conditions and develop technical solutions to maintain system reliability and required safety margin
Support plant operations, maintenance activities, and outage planning and execution as required
Prepare, review, and approve engineering analyses, calculations, and design change packages
Ensure compliance with NRC regulations, plant Technical Specifications, and applicable industry codes and standards
Participate in root cause evaluations and corrective action programs
Interface effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Licensing, and Regulatory personnel
Complete required training and maintain qualifications necessary to perform assigned engineering functions
Serve as a member of the station Emergency Response Organization (ERO)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline associated with power plant operations, or equivalent work experience; Equivalent experience is defined as demonstrated success at the engineer or technical specialist level
Experience in nuclear power design engineering, systems engineering, operations, or equivalent is required
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
Physical ability and willingness to perform plant walkdowns and field inspections
Broad technical understanding of HVAC systems, chillers, and cranes, including the ability to support system modifications
Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements and technical standards
Complete required training and maintain qualifications necessary to perform assigned engineering functions
Preferred
All experience levels will be considered; a minimum of four (4) years of engineering experience is preferred
