Instructional Designer II (College of Medicine) Internal Candidates Only
The University of Houston is seeking an Instructional Designer II for the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine. The role involves advising faculty on instructional design principles, providing training on academic software, and collaborating with other instructional designers within the university system.

Responsibilities
Provide consultation and support for faculty and staff
Research, propose, and participate in decision making for the purchase of new software and technology
Develop and conduct training of faculty on new academic software and technology
Troubleshoot technical and operational issues of technology-based programs
Present and represent (COM) instructional designers at conferences
Collaborate with and assist internal and system-wide instructional designers
Participate and provide leadership in the instructional designer collaborative meetings for the University of Houston System groups
Assume management responsibilities when required
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge
Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed
Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related duties as assigned
