Responsibilities
Work in partnership with diverse individuals to define and facilitate their desired life outcomes
Provide skills training in a group modality to facilitate the individual's success in achieving and maintaining the maximum possible level of independent functioning
Work with individuals, within a group setting, in developing skills necessary to manage symptoms, obtain/maintain employment or housing, or to obtain services such as medical care, nutritional assistance, financial assistance, transportation, legal assistance and resources fulfilling any basic need
Utilize various evidence-based interventions or therapeutic modalities to assist individuals to manage stress and cope effectively during times of crisis or episodes of acute psychiatric symptoms
Provide training to improve communication and interpersonal behaviors to facilitate integration into the community and to develop natural community supports through social/civic organizations, advocacy groups, religious or cultural affiliations, and/or interpersonal relationships
Perform work under the general supervision of an LPHA with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment
Strive to maintain a trauma sensitive workplace, to embrace trauma sensitive and informed practices, and to foster a supportive and welcoming environment of care
Qualification
Required
Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field
Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record
