Program Coordinator - Be A Teacher Intern Program
Sonoma County Office of Education is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Be A Teacher Intern Program. The Coordinator provides leadership and coordination for intern credential programs, ensuring high-quality implementation and compliance with educational standards.
Education Management
Responsibilities
Provides leadership and day-to-day coordination for NCSOE’s Intern Credential Programs (Multiple Subject, Single Subject, and Education Specialist)
Serves as the primary point of contact for intern candidates and district/site partners
Ensures high-quality program implementation that aligns with NCSOE’s vision, mission, and goals and with all California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) requirements
Leads recruitment, admissions support, onboarding, and ongoing advising for intern candidates
Monitors candidate progress toward credential completion
Maintains accurate records to support timely credential recommendation
Collaborates closely with districts, site administrators, mentors, instructors, and Fieldwork Supervisors
Ensures strong clinical practice experiences and consistent support for interns
Coordinates required performance assessments (e.g., CalTPA/edTPA, as applicable)
Facilitates intern program faculty meetings
Trains and supports Fieldwork Supervisors
Coordinates professional learning for instructional staff
Monitors completion and quality of coursework, fieldwork, and assessments
Oversees key operational and instructional components of the intern programs
Ensures alignment with state standards, program goals, and equity-centered practices
Qualification
Required

A letter describing personal qualifications and reason(s) for interest in the position
Three (3) letters of recommendation (dated within the past year)
A copy of a valid California Teaching Credential
A valid California Administrative Services Credential
