Responsibilities

Responsible for data collection of underground utilities by means of pipe and cable locators, ground penetrating radar, and vacuum excavation
Responsible for communicating between team members both written and verbal
Ensures SUE field health and safety compliance in conjunction with supervisors
Maintain records, prepare reports and prepare correspondence as needed related to the completion of work assignments
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management

Required

A minimum of 2-3 years SUE or utility location experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Knowledge of ground penetrating radar, cable locating equipment and vacuum excavation
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decision in a timely manner
Willingness to adhere to policies and procedures as directed by supervision
Ability to coordinate and work in a team environment
Operate standard office equipment (i.e., personal computer, plotter, facsimile, copy machine, etc.)
Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members
Actively advocates for full inclusion in the workplace, fostering an environment that welcomes diversity and values equity for all employees, partners, clients, and the communities that GFT serves

Preferred

DOT experience is a plus
Industrial site experience is a plus
Experience in land surveying is a plus
