Responsibilities
Perform daily inspections to ensure quality and compliance with plans, specifications, and standards
Confirm onsite conditions, utilities, and readiness prior to project activities
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
Develop, communicate, and update daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for subcontractors and vendors
Coordinate and supervise all workforce and construction activities across project phases
Ensure workers understand their duties and have the information needed to perform effectively
Maintain clear, organized documentation, including daily field reports, schedule updates, and email correspondence
Communicate regularly with Alys Beach Development team members regarding potential issues that may impact quality, schedule, or subcontractor performance
Build and maintain professional relationships with contractors
Ensure all work is completed according to contract requirements, quality expectations, and project objectives related to safety, cost, schedule, and performance
Identify potential challenges early and take proactive steps to resolve them quickly
Manage subcontractors through earned respect while also applying firm leadership when necessary
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of experience supervising sitework, infrastructure, or landscaping projects
Working knowledge of basic computers functions and programs
Strong communication skills with architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal team members
Ability to remain organized and produce clear documentation that can be easily understood by third parties
Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations and guide them to successful resolution
Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, tools, equipment, utilities, and safety procedures
Goal‑oriented mindset with the ability to react quickly to changing conditions
Strong time management, negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
Effective leadership and motivation skills
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Commitment to completing quality work correctly the first time
Ability to maintain control of subcontractors through respectful leadership
Proactive mindset—actively seeks and resolves issues before they impact progress
