Senior Account Executive - Learning & Development
Brain Squared Leadership Solutions is a leadership development and corporate training firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sacramento, California. They are seeking a Senior Account Executive specializing in Learning & Development to lead new business development and account expansion across their commercial market, focusing on building relationships with institutional clients and ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Utilize existing contacts of commercial HR Leaders and staff development professionals to identify, qualify, and close new commercial accounts through a consultative, consultative sales process focused on corporate training, leadership development, and executive coaching solutions
Follow and continuously refine Brain Squared's documented sales methodology, ensuring all deals progress through the Brain Squared defined sales process
Conduct thorough discovery calls to understand client needs, budget constraints, timelines, and decision-making structures in both corporate and government environments
Develop tailored proposals that articulate the value of our leadership training and coaching offerings; navigate contract discussions and approval processes with stakeholders at multiple levels
Establish and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at the manager, director, and C-suite levels—particularly within HR, staff development, and leadership departments
Identify and pursue cross-sell opportunities, introducing coaching services to clients who engage for training programs
Build and leverage a network within Utah, California, Nevada, and surrounding regions to generate warm leads and referrals
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in our CRM system, ensuring visibility into all pipeline activity and deal progression
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5+ years of enterprise sales experience, with Learning & Development / seminar services sales experience a plus, especially in the Utah market and surrounding states area
Track record of carrying a quota and landing new accounts in the $300-$500k range
Knowledge of Learning & Development practices and solutions
Proven success in B2B sales, including experience navigating approval processes
Existing relationships in the Learning & Development market in Utah and surrounding states is a plus
Familiarity with or experience at top-tier leadership training organizations such as: Franklin Covey, Center for Creative Leadership, Ken Blanchard, Dale Carnegie, Arbinger Institute, Leader Elevate, or comparable competitors is a plus
Strong understanding of how individual coaching complements group training offerings, and ability to articulate both value propositions to different buyer personas
Proven success in Client Acquisition, Business Development, Relationship Building, and Contract Negotiation, and Account Management
Excellent Communication, Presentation, and Interpersonal skills
Strong Problem-Solving, Analytical Thinking, and Research skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field, with Master's Degree a plus
Familiarity with relevant Learning & Development industry trends and technologies is a plus
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to travel as needed to meet clients in assigned territories
