Cardiovascular Perfusion Program Manager

Responsibilities
Oversees the entire Cardiovascular Perfusion program. Implements curricula design, development, revision, and assessment. This includes course goals, instructional methods, learning outcomes, projects, and assessment measures
Recommends program equipment, supplies, library materials, textbooks, and other items for purchase. Monitors the safety and quality of instructional materials
Establishes and coordinates clinical externship sites; monitors student placement and performance at externship sites
Involved in cases with students, provides hands-on education during cardiovascular perfusion procedures
Continuously teaches, schedules and staffs classes
Oversees student recruiting, advising, mentoring, and teaching
Hires, trains, mentors, and evaluates instructors. Maintains the program curriculum's continuity and relevance by meeting regularly with instructors
Prepare and submit all necessary annual reports to maintain CAAHEP accreditation and program licensure with the Texas Workforce Commission-Career Schools and Colleges
Provides academic advising and career-related counseling for students which includes monitoring student retention, identifying and assisting at-risk students
Develops effective teaching strategies and program assessment methods
Manages tasks assigned by the school director. These include new student orientation, open houses, accreditation preparation, campus events, and staff supervision
Qualification
Required
EDUCATION - Bachelor's
EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer
Preferred
Current or previous Cardiovascular Perfusion's certification highly preferred
Licensed Perfusionist or Certified Clinical Perfusionist preferred
