Responsibilities
Enjoy breaking things or finding the limits of product design
Enjoy problem solving and debugging
Like to write scripts but also like to get your hands on actual hardware to assemble and build systems
Take an analytical approach to solving problems and organizing data
Enjoy mentoring others on best practices and approaches
Qualification
Required
Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with at least 8 years of experience in a highly technical role OR have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with at least 6 years of experience in a highly technical role
Have highly technical software and/or test experience
Be able to work in a lab environment in-person
Have experience creating and following test plans and procedures, including providing detailed evidence of test results
Have experience detecting and tracking software defects and inconsistencies
Have experience collaborating closely with software engineers and other engineering disciplines
Have experience with system development processes, including systems engineering, software safety, requirements traceability, and software validation and verification
Mentor peers and junior engineers on best practices/test approaches
Be a resident or willing to relocate to the North Alabama area
Candidate must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred
Able to read/analyze object-oriented program source in one or more languages (C++/C#/Java/Python)
Able to develop test automation in Python
CMMI best practices
Customer interaction and engagement
Ability to decompose high-level requirements into software test architecture and procedures
Ability to lead a software test team of varying size
