This role focuses on ensuring secure, compliant, and highly available platforms across AWS environments while supporting stable statewide services.

Responsibilities
Define and enforce AWS configuration standards and policies
Build and maintain Terraform-based IaC for provisioning and lifecycle management of AWS resources
Manage multi‐environment consistency (Dev/Test/Stage/Prod) with a focus on security and reliability
Support CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline
Partner with DevOps teams on deployments, rollbacks, configuration updates, and environment readiness
Design automated AWS backup strategies aligned with state retention requirements
Implement automated patching workflows to maintain security posture
Perform regular audits of configurations, patch levels, backups, and certificates
Oversee SSL/TLS certificate installation, renewal, rotation, and validation
Maintain clear documentation for IaC, configuration baselines, and environment changes
Train teams on Terraform, AWS best practices, backup/patch automation, and certificate governance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, or equivalent experience
8+ years in configuration management, including:
Terraform and IaC expertise
Hands‐on AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, ACM)
Cloud backup and automated patching
SSL/TLS certificate management and security best practices
Preferred
Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
AWS and/or Terraform certifications
