Aboriginal Cultural Capability Facilitator Team Leader

Responsibilities
Provides strategic and operational leadership to cultivate an organisation wide culture that is respectful, inclusive, and responsive to Aboriginal people
Coordinates and supports the delivery of high-impact programs that strengthen cultural capability across the organisation
Shapes and champions the development, implementation, governance, and reporting of initiatives that promote Aboriginal cultural capability, inclusion, and respect
Leads and facilitates the delivery of Respecting the Difference training, embedding cultural capability and safety into everyday practice
Provides strategic guidance to empower Aboriginal staff and ensure culturally sensitive approaches are integrated into workforce and service delivery activities
Supports the development of sustainable cultural safety frameworks and strengthens governance mechanisms that uphold accountability, policy alignment, and continuous improvement
Provides bespoke training and advisory support for business units seeking to enhance their cultural capability
Enables culturally safe and inclusive practices to be embedded across the organisation, fostering an environment where Aboriginal staff and communities feel respected, valued, and supported
Qualification
Required
This is a position identified for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people on the basis of a genuine occupational qualification under Section 14(d) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act (1977)
Relevant tertiary qualifications, or equivalent experience, with demonstrated high-level skills in leadership, partnering with stakeholders and the development and delivery of training initiatives, particularly in cultural capability training
Experience in leading teams and creating, managing, and implementing training and initiatives, preferably with a focus on cultural capability, safety, and workforce development that promotes Aboriginal perspectives
Demonstrated project and program management capabilities, including familiarity with relevant government policies, frameworks, and legislation related specifically to Aboriginal people
