Engineering Project Specialist

Responsibilities

Coordinate with contractors, obtain quotes, and oversee project execution from start to finish
Manage fit-and-finish work, remodels, and research lab projects (LRL)
Partner with vetted subcontractors through the Lilly Alliance Group to ensure quality and compliance
Provide on-site oversight (“boots on the ground”) to monitor progress and resolve issues
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and safety
Oversee daily operations, assign work orders, and deliver technical and procedural training to coworkers and subcontractors
Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and downtime to minimize business interruptions
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of building machinery and systems
Inspect and verify work performed by engineering staff, ensuring completion, functionality, and readiness of client spaces
Respond promptly to emergency situations, coordinating additional assistance as needed

Required

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions
Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
