System Design Engineer Specialist

Contract Professionals, Inc. (CPI) is seeking a System Design Engineer Specialist responsible for the development of system and subsystem design, requirements definition, software requirements, integration, and verification testing. This role ensures that system designs are fully defined, traceable, and validated down to component and software requirements, while managing tasks and quality deliverables to completion on time.

Responsibilities

Define and ensure traceability of system, subsystem, and software requirements
Perform functional analysis to develop flows and concepts of execution
Decompose system and subsystem performance and verification requirements and develop design verification plans and reports
Identify, define, and manage power, data, and system interfaces
Maintain system, subsystem, and component interface control
Support management of vehicle network bandwidth allocations
Ensure system design alignment across physical, power, data, and software domains
Integrate and verify system and subsystem components in laboratory and vehicle environments
Define and execute integration, test, and verification plans
Provide technical inputs to planning, scheduling, and cost estimation
Achieve proficiency in one or more domains (testing, diagnostics, verification, requirements, C4, software UI, etc.)

Required

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
Strong experience in system, subsystem, and software requirements development, design, and test
Experience with data bus design and management (CAN, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, etc.)
Experience with Requirements Manager (Teamcenter) and/or DOORS
Experience troubleshooting systems and subsystems
Ability to write test procedures and reports
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs of test equipment
100% on-site due to nature of work
Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance
No sponsorship available
Ability to work overtime when required
Limited travel may be required
Ability to contribute continuous improvement methodologies
This assignment is a U.S. Government contract which requires all applicants to be U.S. Citizens
