Responsibilities
Perform field inspection and testing of asphalt, concrete, soils, and aggregates
Conduct roadway and plant inspections in accordance with project requirements
Assist with sampling, density testing, and coring coordination as needed
Accurately document test results, field observations, and daily reports
Communicate findings clearly with project engineers, project managers, and laboratory staff
Follow ASTM, AASHTO, and project-specific procedures
Maintain safety and quality standards on active construction sites
Qualification
Required
Ability to work independently in the field and manage time effectively
Willingness to learn and grow in a technical role
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
Preferred
Prior experience in construction, inspection, or materials testing preferred
Familiarity with asphalt and concrete operations is a plus
Industry certifications such as ACI, NJSAT, NICET, or NJDOT are a plus, not required
