Civil Engineering Technician I, II, or III
Reno County, Kansas - Government is seeking Civil Engineering Technicians I, II, or III for their Public Works department. The role involves technical work related to civil engineering projects including planning, design, construction, inspection, and materials testing.

Responsibilities
Perform a variety of technical duties associated with planning, location, design, construction, inspection, materials testing and surveying of roads, bridges, flood control and other civil engineering projects
Qualification
Required
Minimum level high school graduate or have an equivalent general educational development certificate (GED) with strong math classes
Possess and maintain a valid Kansas Driver's License
Employee is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all certification requirements relative to the position
Possess and maintain a valid Kansas Class B CDL
Must have obtained Basic Inspection, Asphalt Inspection, Concrete Inspection, and Structures Inspection Certifications
KDOT Civil Engineering Technician Certifications for LPA Project Inspections required
Must possess the following certifications: Basic Inspection, Asphalt Inspection, Concrete Inspection, Structures Inspection, ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade 1
Preferred
One (1) year experience preferred in a related field in Auto CAD/GIS
KDOT Construction Storm Water (SWPPP) is preferred
