Responsibilities
Provide classroom and on-the-job training and instruction to inmates in the standard practices, methods, and procedures of the electrical trade
Conduct classroom training through the delivery of an appropriate curriculum of the trade
Maintain order and discipline of inmates during work assignments and classroom instruction
Maintain documentation of all inmate training progress, attendance, and assignment details
Oversee and direct inmate work crews in completing electrical work orders as part of the on-the-job training provided
Qualification
Required
Five years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment used in buildings; or
Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the electrical trade; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the electrical trade
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
