Correctional Program Director I - Dan River Prison Work Farm
The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies responsible for the care, custody, and supervision of adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. The Correctional Program Director I will oversee statewide programs, manage daily operations, and ensure compliance with federal and state rules.

Responsibilities
Direct statewide complex programs within an agency
Require specialized knowledge of issues, policies and procedures, state and local agency processes and procedures
Serve as a manager with program authority in the area of assignment
Oversee all operations and services provided by staff
Strategic and tactical planning
Organizing and managing daily operations
Human resources management and staff development
Program policy and procedure design and implementation
Associated business functions
Provide administrative, programmatic and fiscal oversight via regular supervision, guidance, training, and technical assistance to staff
Provide state-level policy guidance
Comprehensive monitoring and forming federal, state and local linkages
Provide strategic leadership, program & resource management to ensure compliance with federal and state rules and contract provisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a human services or criminal justice field from an appropriately accredited institution
Two years of experience in correctional programs management or related work
Documented knowledge of report writing
Documented knowledge of case management practices, or supportive counseling techniques and/or interviewing techniques for intake assessments
