Responsibilities
Lead mechanical layout trades to define system configurations
Synthesize complex inputs from Electrical, RF, Thermal, and Dynamics teams
Generate sophisticated 3D CAD assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings
Deliver efficient, high-reliability designs optimized for production throughput using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Assembly (DFA) principles
Architect and execute development, qualification, and acceptance test campaigns
Design and fabricate precision mechanical test fixtures and adapters required for hardware verification
Author and present comprehensive data packages for major design reviews, ensuring cross-functional alignment and mission readiness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
5+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
Experience with prototyping and implementation
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI
Preferred
Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
Experience with NX and Teamcenter
3+ years experience developing test fixtures, test apparatus, support equipment and GSE
