Linux System Administrator
CXC is seeking a Linux System Administrator responsible for managing and troubleshooting various Linux distributions in both private and public cloud environments. The role involves operational management of cloud Linux server instances, ensuring system security, and collaborating with other IT professionals to provide secure computing services.

Responsibilities
Applying Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu, CentOS, Suse and Debian concepts and industry best practices to resolve complex issues
Providing daily operational management of private and public cloud Linux server instances, maintaining thorough documentation of procedures and system configurations
Selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions, evaluating technologies, performing cost / benefit analysis, and completing additional work assigned by the manager and lead
Developing and managing the client's computing and infrastructure systems on private and public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Providing creative problem solving, critical thinking, and advanced troubleshooting across a broad domain of secure computing systems and support activities
Managing data center computing operations while maintaining strict operational security requirements and directives - implementing latest computer security policies and procedures
Managing availability of network, storage, computing, and software of multiple computing and storage systems
Developing technical specifications and maintaining documentation for processes and technical guides
Patch planning, vulnerability assessment, patch policy preparation, patch testing and workflow design for quarterly security patch updates across RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Suse and Debian Linux systems
Researching and resolving operating system problems efficiently and accurately, while adhering to organizational standards and practices
Performing proactive performance monitoring, analysis, alerting, reporting, and tuning as well as proactive capacity planning/analysis and provisioning solutions
Coordinating, facilitating, managing, and executing approved changes during maintenance windows in a 24 × 7 on-call environments
Qualification
Required
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Suse, Debian Linux
Four (4) years of experience in developing Ansible playbooks, Shell, and Python scripts
Ability to author and implement automation for complex operational and administrative tasks
Experience with security tools and threat mitigation technologies such as McAfee, CISCO AMP, Nessus Tenable, Tanium, and Dell Secureworks Red Cloak
Experience with VMware, Vcenter, and ESXi
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or engineering field
Knowledge in decision making; organizational awareness; and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms running on-prem and on public clouds such as AWS, Azure and GCP
Expertise in monitoring, performance tuning, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters
