Program Management COLLEGE Intern – Center of Equity and Excellence in Aviation (CEEA)
The City and County of Denver is seeking a Program Management intern for the Center of Equity and Excellence in Aviation (CEEA). The role involves supporting various projects aimed at youth engagement and professional development within the aviation industry, providing interns with real-world experience and opportunities for networking and collaboration.

Responsibilities
Serve as lead aide in organizing DENtern tours, professional development, presentations, events, communications, and DENtern recruitment
Facilitate DENtern mini-introductions to DEN executive leadership
Create opportunities for DENterns to bond and build friendships and help launch an alumni network
Support the event planning and execution of impactful initiatives like DEN Academy, Tours, Project Takeoff, Aviation Career-Ready Workshops, and Aviation Learning Day
Co-create interactive activities that make workshops and events exciting, memorable, and relevant for youth participants
Ensure every student leaves with a positive, inspiring experience that sparks interest in aviation careers
Coordinate the annual student CEEA Sock Design Challenge by managing submissions, coordinating the selection process and vendor communication, overseeing purchase logistics, advertising, and developing next year’s theme
Support end to end logistics for employee professional development programs including tasks such as confirming room reservations, catering coordination, supply preparation, day-of event setup/breakdown, and expense documentation
Represent the team at youth, employee, and community events by sharing opportunities and engaging with participants
Contribute to special projects like refreshing presentations, designing new resources, and crafting communications that highlight programming
Collaborate with a team of fellow DENterns to conduct discovery research on a key aviation megatrend. This includes gathering data, interviewing industry experts, and analyzing findings. At the end of the summer, your team will present insights to DEN’s executive leadership to help shape strategic innovation and prepare the airport for the future
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment in an accredited college program leading to a certificate, licensure, associates, bachelor's, or higher degree in, or a recent graduate (completed specified program within 1 year of completion)
1–2-page resume
Transcripts – either official or unofficial; dated within your current academic term. This is only used to verify amounts of credits; grades will not influence decisions
FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN)
Employees are required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment
