Imaging Systems Simulation Engineer

Responsibilities
Lead development of imaging system simulation tools for Google's consumer hardware products
Define simulation workflows, capabilities, and performance goals, and validate against real hardware
Research mobile and wearable imaging technologies
Investigate imaging performance goals for multi-camera systems
Collaborate with our partners in System Product Development/Electrical Engineering, Camera Hardware, Android Software team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience
4 years of experience working in an imaging systems simulation technical environment
Experience in Software development using Python and Matlab
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP)
Experience developing tools or performing simulation to map imaging hardware design to camera performance metrics
Knowledge of one or more of the following: optical design, image sensor design and characterization, photo and video processing pipelines, ISP algorithms, computational photography, and computer vision
Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
