Responsibilities

Participate in estimate developments for business justifications
Develop decision making skills and understanding of the continuous need to add value to internal and external customers
Develop relationships and networks with stakeholders to understand how they depend on the work of this department
Work with all generation business units and IT to identify upstream and downstream risks (application and/or business process) of new and upgraded applications within generation and provide input to suggestions for risk mitigation
Identify and communicate gaps and opportunities for process improvements
Seeks out, analyze and interpret information for work activities and problem solving

Required

Education: bachelor of science (BS) degree in relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems Management; OR, Associate of science (AS) degree and two (2) years of experience, preferably in the utility industry; OR, Four (4) years of related experience in utility industry
Experience with software projects including migrations, integrations, data dependencies and process flow
Proficient in MS Office package (Excel, Visio, Word, and Power Point)
Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the AEP's Corporate Compliance Policy
Team player with ability to work and collaborate well with others
Participate in establishing a healthy culture of continuous Process Improvement
Some travel required
