Responsibilities
Recommend, design, and integrate enterprise monitoring and alerting solutions using SolarWinds with ServiceNow integration
Design and build customized dashboards using Power BI and SolarWinds SQL tables
Perform requirements gathering to support the design and implementation of infrastructure and application monitoring systems
Analyze monitoring tools and architectures and recommend designs aligned with industry best practices
Validate monitoring systems for functionality, performance, fault tolerance, and operational readiness
Collaborate with Network, Windows, and Cyber Security teams to deliver end-to-end monitoring solutions
Execute detailed network and server discovery, device monitoring, and topology visualization
Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) enablement and troubleshooting capabilities
Identify operational issues, develop resolution processes, and communicate status and alerts to stakeholders
Enhance and troubleshoot SolarWinds platform components as issues arise
Proactively propose improvements supporting operational efficiency and project objectives
Maintain runbooks, logs, and operational documentation following ITIL best practices using ServiceNow
Monitor system health, performance metrics, and SLA compliance
Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience with enterprise Monitoring and Observability platforms, including implementation, customization, and operational support
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with SolarWinds Monitoring Solutions
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SolarWinds, including core components, platform architecture, alerting, reporting, and performance optimization
Minimum 5 years of experience with advanced monitoring and correlation platforms
Strong experience integrating monitoring platforms with ServiceNow for event, incident, and workflow automation
Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure, application, and network monitoring domains
Experience with report generation, scheduling, and automation within SolarWinds
Strong knowledge of monitoring configuration, including profiles, polling policies, thresholds, and alert conditions
Hands-on experience supporting large-scale, enterprise monitoring environments with a focus on stability and scalability
Preferred
Experience with advanced observability and correlation platforms such as Datadog and BigPanda
Working knowledge of Syslog and SNMP v2/v3, including trap forwarding, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting
Experience automating repeatable monitoring tasks, including event and alert automation
Strong collaboration skills and ability to coordinate with SolarWinds platform administrators, infrastructure teams, and operations stakeholders
Experience managing hybrid monitoring environments with multiple tools and integrations
