Technical Program Manager, Efficiency Metrics

Responsibilities
Lead large programs within efficiency with a strong focus on metrics, that deliver towards measurable impact and a more efficient use of resources in the Google fleet, and deliver towards Google's 2030 sustainability goals
Develop processes and tools, in partnership with the Engineering and Data Science teams, to measure top-level metrics for the portfolio of efficiency and sustainability initiatives in AI2
Partner with finance and key stakeholders in areas adjacent to efficiency to build robust and auditable mechanisms to track and report impact at the company level, scaling the existing processes we have today
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
8 years of experience in program management
Preferred
8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
Understanding of the areas of opportunity and metrics/challenges in utilization and efficiency of the infrastructure
Excellent program management skills, with the ability to successfully drive and land complex cross-functional programs, in the area of compute, storage, and ML hardware/software resource efficiency programs for the data center
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills
