Responsibilities
Managing projects/processes, and working independently with limited supervision
Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals
Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex
Troubleshooting network routing/switching issues and be comfortable with the command line
Providing guidance to other team members as needed
Going on-site to client facilities for troubleshooting, hardware installations, maintenance, repair and replacement of physical networking equipment (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless AP’s and UPS’s)
Being part of a group of On-Call engineers that provide support on a rotating basis
Qualification
Required
Expert-level routing and switching across Cisco and Juniper environments
Strong command-line proficiency for real‑time diagnostics and configuration
Ability to resolve complex connectivity, performance, and interoperability issues
Hands-on capability with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless APs, and UPS systems
5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree
7+ years of relevant experience without a Bachelor's degree
Must have strong experience with troubleshooting network routing/switching issues and be comfortable with the command line
All candidates will go through a proctored, hands-on lab where their routing and switching skills will be tested
Candidate will be provided a scenario with certain items that need to be configured and fixed
Valid Driver's License Required – Ability to operate a motor vehicle and drive distances of greater than 100 miles/3 – 4 hours as required
Must be able to work in active construction sites with appropriate PPE
Must be able to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 25 – 50 lbs, occasional ladder use, reading, nimbleness of hands for typing and writing
On-Call Component
Senior Specialty Infrastructure Engineers will be part of a group of On-Call engineers that provide support on a rotating basis
After-Hours from 6pm – 6am and 24/7 on the weekends (Saturday – Sunday)
Rotations swap out on Tuesdays
Preferred
Relevant certifications preferred – Cisco CCNP or higher
Juniper routing/switching/wireless experience is a plus
